While Jesus (according to Isa. 49:6), as an Old Testament "prophet,"  did "prophesy" to the non- covenant Samaritans and Gentiles of the coming of the "light of God" (the New Testament "gospel", 2 Cor. 4:1-6) that was to come to the Gentiles  later in the New Testament "age" (Jn. 4; Matt. 15:21-28), at no time in MMLJ/BC  did Jesus or his disciples preach the New Testament "gospel" or bestow old covenant or spiritual blessings upon these non-covenant Gentile alien sinners during the Old Testament "age" of his ministry to Israel.

Unlike this present New Testament "age," when the new covenant "gospel" invitation of salvation is offered to all alien sinners of "all nations" (Matt. 28:18-20; Rom. 10:13; 2 Thess. 2:11-14; 2 Pet. 3:8-9), there was no old covenant plan of salvation for the alien Gentile world during the closing days of the Mosaical "age"  in MMLJ/BC.  During the old Mosaical "age," all Jews became children of God through their physical "covenant birth" as Abraham's physical "seed" and were then raised under the law of Moses in Israel's heritage (Gen. 12:1-5; 17:1-4; 22:15-19; Rom. 1:3-5; 4:3; Gal. 3; 1 Pet. 1:21-25).  Because the old covenant law of Moses that John, Jesus and their Jewish disciples preached in MMLJ/BC was not "evangelistic" in nature or command, there was no command for Israel to "go out" and preach the exclusive old covenant law for Israel to the alien Gentiles of the old Mosaical "age."

The emphasis in  MMLJ/BC is on Jesus' work in "restoring" the old covenant children of Israel under "the limited commission" during the last thirty-three years of the old Mosaical covenant "age."  This was some three years before "the great commission" was given or the New Testament "age" -- "began."  For this reason, MMLJ/BC do not reveal John and Jesus going to or preaching salvation to the alien sinners of the Samaritans or Gentiles.  In fact, in his conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well, Jesus told her that her worship as a Samaritan was in "vain," for  "salvation" was only for the Jews during that  old Mosaical "age" (Jn. 4:21-22).

To understand MMLJ/BC, we should study these books as we do all other Old Testament books that describe the old covenant Mosaical "age."  MMLJ/BC are a study of Old Testament Jews living under the old covenant law of Moses during the last thirty-three years of the Old Testament Mosaical "age" -- it is not a study of  the New Testment "age."

What About The "Alien" Gentiles During The Old Mosaical "Age" Of MMLJ/BC?

During the 1500 years of the old Mosaical "age," the Gentile nations were aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, strangers from the covenants of promise, having no spiritual hope and without God in the world (Eph. 2:11-12).  Because their Gentle forefathers had rejected God and his divine plan for them, God abandoned them to their wickedness and idolatry (Rom. 1:24, 26, 28).  They walked in the vanity of their idolatrous minds, they were alienated from God through ignorance, and completely given over to sin (Eph. 4:17-19).

In the Old Testament Mosaical "age" the Gentiles were, as Christ said to Paul in the New Testament "age" -- "in darkness and under the power of Satan" (Acts 26:17-18).
