2. Jesus, just as other Old Testament prophets (Isa. 2:2; Dan. 2:44), prophesied to Israel that the New Testament "kingdom" was coming (Matt. 4:17; Mk. 9:1), and he taught his Old Testament disciples to "pray" for its coming (Matt. 6:10).  However, we cannot teach today, as both John and Jesus taught,  that Christ's new covenant "kingdom" is still to come and that New Testament Christians today -- who are already in the new covenant "kingdom" -- should "pray" for its coming. The New Testament “kingdom” (the church) came to earth when the New Testament "age" began in Acts 2 (Col. 1:13; Heb. 12:28).

3. Jesus, just as all the teachers of the old covenant law of Moses, taught his Old Testament people in Israel to keep "the ten commandments" to have everlasting life (Matt. 19:16-22). However, in the New Testament, Christ teaches that it is a sin for Christians to keep "the ten commandments" of the Old Testament, for those commandments of the old law of Moses were "nailed" to the cross and "abolished" forever (Col. 2:14; 2 Cor. 3:6-14; Heb. 9:16-17; 10:9-10).  The apostles teach that the law of Moses taught by Christ in MMLJ/BC were "words" of the Old Testament "ministration of death" (2 Cor. 3:7).  To replace the old covenant and its commandments, Christ gave  the new  covenant and its "new commandments" of life for the new covenant "age" (1 Jn. 5:1-13).

4. Jesus, in MMLJ/BC, prophesied of New Testament "teaching" to the people of Israel in "parables," knowing that neither his closest  disciples nor the people would understand  the mysteryim his prophecies and parables" (Matt. 13:10-17).  However, today, the New Testament "church" is not commanded to continue to teach the "mystery" of Christ's old covenant "prophecies" and "parables," for those old covenant "mysterious" teachings of the "parables" have been fully explained in "the apostles doctrine" in Acts  2 through Revelation 22(Acts 2:41-42; Rom. 16:25-26; Eph. 3:9-12).

Today, the New Testament "church" is forbidden by "the apostles' doctrine" in the New Testament  to teach the old covenant law of Moses that Christ taught in MMLJ/BC.  Because all of the Old Testament "prophecies" and "parables" of Christ have already been "fulfilled" and fully "revealed" in the New Testament lifetime of the apostles in Acts 2 -- Revelation 22, we should not continue to teach those old covenant prophecies" and "parables" (as do most denominations and some brethren among churches of Christ) as though they are still a "mystery" -- yet to be "fulfilled," explained and understood by the Lord’s church.

Again. today the New Testament "church" stands "complete" and without “mysteries” in the New Testament of Christ as revealed in Acts through Revelation 22.
